FAYETTE \VASHING'ION ROE, OF OMAHA, NEBRASKA.
DESIGN FOR A WATCH-CHARM.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,281, dated January 5, 1892.
Application filed November 12, 1891. Serial No. 411,743- Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FAYETTE WASHINGTON ROE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Omaha, in the county of Douglas and State of Nebraska, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a VVatch-Charm, of which the following is a specification.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forminga part of this specification, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both the figures.
Figure 1 is an elevation of a charm embodying my new design, and Fig. 2 a top View.
The design consists in the novel configuration and ornamentation shown.
In general the contour of the charm A simulates an acorn, B indicating its cap or husk, and C the stem. Said stem, it will be observed, is continued and looped intermediate of its ends and terminates in a free projecting end, this novel treatment of the stem lending to the general acorn figure a novel and pleasing appearance. At the lower end of the cap B an annular band a appears, and a series of vertical panels or divisions I) extend from said band to the point e of the charm, and the lines of the body A, as the same is seen in profile, present compound curves, which merge at the extreme point c. Figures d are produced in the panels I), and at the head of such columns of figures the abbreviations of the days of the week appear, the whole simulating a calendar.
1 claim- The design fora watch-charm herein shown and described.
FAYETTE \VASHINGTON ROE. Vitnesses:
