Term of patent 14 years (Cl. D3'4-5) FIGURE 1 is a front view of a sole plate for golf clubs, showing my new design;

FIG. 2 is a bottom view of the sole plate; and

FIG. 3 is an end view of the sole plate.

The dominant features of the sole plate of my design reside in the portions shown in full lines and are characterized by having deep recesses at the rear side portions forming a broad fantail at the back of the club and shallower recesses at the front side portions forming an urnshaped configuration.

The dotted head is shown to disclose the environment of the sole plate.

I claim: The ornamental design for a sole plate for golf clubs, as shown and described.
