Be it known that I, Andrew E. Lawrence, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of San Mateo, county of San Mateo, State of California, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Hard Surface Floor Covering or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference bein had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

The drawing is a plan view of a piece of a hard surface floor covering showing my design. On such drawing, the broken lines outline a design unit which is repeated in regular succession as indicated by the extensions beyond the boundarles of such unit.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a hard surface floor covering or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
