DOUBLE DECK RAILWAY VEHICLE Delaware Application October 29, 1949, Serial No. 5,778
Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, Robert A. Meldrum, James E. Candlin, J r., and Ralph W. I-Iarnan, citizens of the United States of America and residents, respectively, 01" Chicago, county of Cook, and State of Illinois, Chicago, county of Cook, and State of Illinois, and Flossmoor, county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Double Deck Railway Vehicle, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings forming part thereof.
In the drawings Fig. 1 is a general perspective view of the double deck railway vehicle in which our new design is incorporated, having portions broken away to reveal interior details and indicating the supporting trucks in dotted lines;
Fig. 2 is a general elevational view of the interior portion of the vehicle showing somewhat more than half of the length of the vehicle;
Fig. 3 is a general side elevational View of the vehicle with parts broken away to reveal the imterior, and illustrating the remaining length of the vehicle complemental to that illustrated in Fig. 2;
Fig. 4 is a general plan view of that portion of the vehicle illustrated in Fig. 2 showing the lower level deck arrangement;
Fig. 5 is a general plan view of that portion of the vehicle illustrated in Fig. 3 showing the lower level deck arrangement;
Fig. 6 is a general plan view of that portion of the vehicle illustrated in Fig. 2 showing the upper level deck arrangement;
Fig. 7 is a general plan view of that portion of the vehicle illustrated in Fig. 3 showing the upper level deck arrangement;
Fig. 3 is a general transverse sectional view through thevehicle showing the lower and upper level deck arrangements;
Fig. 9 is a general perspective View of the central portion of the vehicleshowing the center entrances and having portions broken away to show the center stairways between the lower and upper decks; and
Fig. 10 is a general perspective view of an end portion of the vehicle, having portions broken away to show the arrangements of the lower and upper decks, with the supporting trucks indicated in dotted lines.
The characteristic features of the present design are shown by full lines in the drawings.
What is claimed is:
The ornamental design for a double deck railway vehicle, substantially as shown and described.
