PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A DRESS OR SIMILAR ARTICLE Marcia Backus, New York, N. Y. i Application September 7, 1940, Serial No. 94,866

Be it known that I, Marcia Backus, a, citizen of the United States, residing at 340 West 57th St., New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Dress or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

Figure 1 is a front view of a dress, showing my new design; and

Figure 2 is a rear view of the same. The characteristic feature of my design resides in the combination on the cowl-necked dress disclosed, of the contrastingly colored bands of sequins arranged at the waistline and on the sleeve members, in association with the gored skirt and the tucks on the bodice, all as shown.

I claim: The ornamental design for a dress or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
