SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,127, dated January 18, 1881.
Application led December 9, 1880. Term of patent 3 years.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, WILLIAM V. OoIHoUr, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Designsfor Gimp; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and eXaet deseription ot' the invention, snob as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters or figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
rIhe features ot my design consist of a figure representing a series oiktiat, hollow squares resting at equal distances from each other on the body of the gimp, and a bar between each hollow square, parallel to them and erosswise of the body or Iaoe of' the gimp, and the entire length of the gimp traversed by a belt running under two of the bars of the hollow square and over the center of the bar which lies between them. The edges of the gimp project a little beyond the squares and beyond the ends of the straight bar that rests between.
In the accompanying photograph, A is the body of the gimp. B represents the hollow square. C represents the bars between the hollow squares. I) is the belt traversing the body of the gimp and running under two of the bars of the hollow squares and over the center of the bar O between.
Having deseribed my invention, what I desire to secure by Letters Patent is- A design for gimp, consisting,` oi' a figure representing a series of hollow squares, B, resting at equal distances from each other on the face or body A ot' the gimp, with a straight bar, G, restingr between each square, Iand a bolt, D, traversing the entire length of the face of the gimp, running under the two cross-bars of the hollow square and over the center of the straight bai1 C that lies between, substantially as Shown.
