UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A BOX Frank McIntosh, New York, N. Y., assignor to Lentheric Incorporated, New York, N. Y., a corporation of New York Application December 1, 1937, Serial No. 73,288

Be it known that I, Frank McIntosh, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York city, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a. Box, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

In the drawing:

Fig. l is a top View of a box embodying my design;

Fig. 2 is a front view; and

Fig. 3 is a side View thereof.

The rear face of the box and the side not shown are, respectively, substantially the same as the front and the side shown.

The design is characterized by a rectangular box of oblong horizontal section, with a multiplicity of uniformly thin and regularly spaced perimetric horizontal lines, the group of lines being placed substantially midway of the height of the box, the lines suggesting a string wound around the box and terminating in a bowknot on the front and rear, in combination with a comparatively wide base the ledge of which contrasts in color with the adjacent portion of the boX.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a box, substantially as shown and described.
