DESIGN FOR ROAD-WAGONS.

Specification forming part of Design No. 11,007, dated February 4, 1879; application filed August 24, 1878. [Term of patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WILLIAM O. KINNE, of Beloit, in the county of Rock and State of Wisconsin, have invented a new Design for Wagons; and I do-hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact descrip tion of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon.

Figure 1 of the drawings is a representation of a perspective of my carriage, looking from the front. Fig. 2 is also a perspective view, looking from the rear.

My invention relates to a design for a roadwagon; and the novelty consists in the peculiar curves and arrangement of parts, as will be more fully hereinafter described.

Referring to the drawings, A represents the side bars, having a slightly-convex upper surface, and a correspondingly concave under surface.

Extending backward, upward, and inward in a regular curve are C-springs B, to which are secured straps O, which, being secured, in turn, to curved arms D, rigid with the body E, the bottom of which describes an ogee curve, present a straight line from the top of the curved springs B to the projecting end of the curved arms D.

Thorough-braces F, having a regular curve, secured to the forward cross-bars, f, serve to allow leather straps G to be attached to the upper ends thereof, and said straps are secured to the forward under surface of the body. or represents the wheels.

The design presents no reach, and the several parts present a combination of curves, angles, and straight lines, deflected from a horizontal plane, forming a handsome and striking design.

It will be seen that the side bars, with the springs B, present an ogee curve, and the same is true of the side bars and the thoronghbraces, and the springs B, and the arms D.

It will be observed that the springs B, upon the rear end, describe a large circle or curve, and the thorough-braces F a small curve.

I claim- The design for a wagon, substantially as above described.
