To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JULIUS G. Sanctions,-

a citizen of the, United States, residing at NewYork, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in Adjustable Tables,

of which the following is a specification.

The invention relates. to a table, and more particularly 'to the class of adjustable tables. The primary objectof the invention is the convenience of the user when studying, reading or writing.

Another object of the invention is the provision of a table of this character in which the parts thereof are so connected as 'to permit the collapsing of the said table,

thus enabling the same to assume compact form for storage or shipment from one locality to another,

A furtherobject of the invention is the provision of a table of this character which is simple of construction, strong, durable, efficient and reliable in operation, and inex pensive in manufacture.

With these and other objects in view, the invention consists in the construction, combination and arrangement of parts, as will be hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in-the accompanying drawings, and pointed out in the claim appended hereto.

Screwed into the front faces of the posts 10 at intervals are eye members 18, with which are adapted to be detachably engaged hooks 19, the latter mounted in the upper lon itudinal edge of a shelf or supporting dec 20, the latter having secured at its opposite longitudinal edge a retaining strip 21 to prevent the slipping of a book or other article resting upon the shelf or deck.
