Be it known that I,l THouas'E. W'Hrrr.,
' a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain Improvements in Soot-Blowers, of which the following 4is ,a specification.
My invention is designed to provide improved means for clearing boilers of soot.
My improvements, in their preferred con struction, comprise 'several groups of nozzles separat-ely mo 7able through a boiler casing, into operative position," by the pressure of 'the -iuid used in blowing the soot and means for automatically withdrawing the nozzles when thelow of fluid is cutl off.
The characteristicy features of my improvements are disclosed in the following description and the accompanying drawings in illustration thereof. y

' The apparatus, as illustrated in the drawings, comprises'-the casing 1 which incloses the boiler having tubes 2, the casing being vided with cylindrical .terminals 9 in.
