In a blind-stitch sewing machine, the combination with auihblq stitchfsrming meehaiiilii comprising aineedle of a feeding device for advancing the work, a presserfoot having a longitudinal clot ari wise in the line of the feed of the wo from or independent of said feeding device, the said ri device being `mounted beneath mid presserfoot and a transverse to the direction of the movements of said needle and aerviiig to force the work upward through said ot, and means for positively raising or o ge-forming device whiclLextenda ign ut dge'forming' and for lowering` said ridgeiorming device iit cach stitch.

foot, means for raising and lowering said ridge-forming device at each stitch, and a feedin mechanism for advancing the work, said ceding mechanism com rising -s reciprocating u per feeding device and e rotating lower ceding device comprising two yieldingly mounted feed wheels arranged on opposite aides of said ritlgc-torming evcc.

In e blind-stitch sewing mac ine, the combination with suitable stitch-forming mechanism, of a presser-foot, a ridge-form ing device mounted beneath said premerfoot, nieanii for raising and lowering said rid 'ii-forming device at each stitch, and a freding'mechanism for advancing the work, said feeding mechanism comprising a reciprocating upper feedin device arts directly over said rid orming device, and a rotati lower ing device comprising two yiel ingly mounted feed wheels arranged on opposite sides of said ridge-forming device.
