As 'is 4 evident, wit'h the consti-notion'. dei scribed, when the vright hand adjusting rod 15 is rotated'by means of its crank '19, 'the' lefthand rod 15 will be rotated in'funison therewith, and 'by the ,simultaneous adjiist ment ot these two rods, the two pai/rs of legs -3 and 4 willbe positively vmoved pivotally on Vthe connecting, rod 5, so as to vary the angle to .which the said pairsoilegs will be set in respect to each. other. The said screw rods also, of course, rigidly hold the said legs in any' set adjustment. Angular adjustmentsu vof the said legs,l ofcourse, raises and .lowers the'table top 1, under. vwhich movementv the trunnions 7a slide ,along the under edges of'therails 2, thereby holding the table top always yin-a horizontal posiL tion. Of course, if the table top be primarily set ,at a slightangle, as might be top would be maintained parallel to its primary position throughout its adjustments.

I but nevertheless, I do not limit myself to thevdetail's of construction and arrangement im ofl parts shownin ythe '-drawings. For instance,.in some cases, a single adjusting rod 4or screw might be employed-although the` arrangement of one adjusting screw or rod for each pair of supporting legs,` gives a firmer and better 'adjusting means.

lVhat I claim is:

1. The combination With twopairs of laterally spaced intermediately. pivoted Isuppvotallyv conporting, legs, of -a table top nected to the upper end of one member of each pair lof l'legs and loosely -resting on parts carried by the upper endportions of the other'tWo legs, a pair of heads con-l nected one to each of one pair of pivotally connected legs, an-adjusting'rod for threaded engagement With one .of said heads and swiveled to the other of connecting one member of each pair of legs.

2. The combination With tvvo pairs of laterally 4spaced j intermedi-ately pivoted supporting 1egs','of a table top pivotally con.'- nectedfto the upper end of one member of each pair' of legs, and loosely resting'on parts carried by the upper end portions of the other two legs,v heads pivotal'ly conneeted to the .upper end portions of said legs, adjusting. rods for threaded engagement 4with the rear 'heads and swiveled tothe front heads, and means connecting said adjusting rods for simultaneous'movements to thereby vertically adjust said table top.

3. Thecombinationwith two pairs of laterally spaced transverselycrossed intermediately pivoted supporting legs,of a table top pivotally connected 'to the upper ends of -said legs, adjustingrods v said heads,the ad justment of said legs serving to raise and lower said table top,r and means for rigidly multaneous movements t`..said adjustingrods, to thereby vertically adj-ust said table top.'
