I have found that in those instances in which it is desired to simulate snuff, the exposed ends of closely associated camels-hair ,tbers,- herein collcetivelv called brush, an-
swers the purpose as regards appearance and feeling. The back of this brush 9 is secured within compartment in a manner suchy that the ends ofthe closely compacted brush hairs are exposed on the removal of the closure of the compartment.
