Be it known that I, DON' M. LEMON, a citizen of the United States, v resident of Boston, in the county of Suffolk and` State of Massachusetts, have made a Certain new and useful Invention in -Erasers `,for Use with Type-Writing Machines, and declare the following to be a full, clear, and exactl description-of the Same, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use'the invention, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters or figures-of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification,

The invention has relation to-erasers for use with typewriting machinesto erase the printed impression when` desired, and it consists in the novel construction and combinations of partsas hereinafter set forth.
In the accompanying drawings, illustratl ing the invention, Fig. 1 designates an upright carrier, having at its upper end an incasement 2 having disposed therein a horizontal shaft 3 carrying arfast wheel l provided with a circular series of ratchet teeth 4?, set back therein or inset from its side face 4b, and a. loosevhollow grooved wheel 5,

The eraser and flexible shaft carrying the same may be removed from the snap hook at` any time, as will be obvious.
The eraser is designed to strike the platen a little toone side of the point, Where the type strike the platen, to avoid interference with the typewriter ribbon.
