` Beit known thatI, NELSON C. BURNAP, of Argusville, in the county of Schoharie, and in the State of New York, have invented new and improved Dinner-Bail;l and do hereby dec-lare that the followi ing,` description, takenin connect-ion with the accompanying lplate of drawings, hereinafter referred to, forms a full and exact specification of the same, whereiniI have setv forth the nature and principles of myV said improvement, bywhich my invention may be dis'- tinguislied from others of a similar class, together with c such parts as I claim, and desire to secure by Letters The nature of'my invention consists in constructing a dinner or lunch-pail, with a receptacleforthe reception ofeither hot or cold fluids, as may be desirable, and in the arrangement oi' the parts of the devicex so constructed.

wit:

Cylindrical metallic `bucket A, of the form in comnion use, provided with the .ordinary form of handle B.

IVithin the said bucket, andata short ldistance from l thebottoni thereof, is soldered, or otherwise secured,

the upright Yhollow cylinder E, which is so constructed `as to extend a few inches above the cover F, in order that it may forni a lodging-place for the cup, the said cover being provided with an aperture at 'its centre, through'which the said cylinder passes.

By this construction, it is apparent that the bucket Any hot beverage, as coffee, chocolate, Snc., havingl been poured into the inner reservoir, through the apertureat't-he top of the cylinder E, the outer receptacle is filled with edibles, and the cup II t'ted over the top of the cylinder E, to prevent the escape of the aroma. The edibles placedin the outer receptacle are not onlyl kept warm, but act as non-conductors, to pre- Vvent the radiation ot' heat from the fluid.

If it is desirablefto keep the edibles cold, and atthe same time secure a supply of cold water, the inner reservoir is filled with'ice.'

Having thus described thelnature, construction, and operation of myA invention, I will indicate what I claim as new, and desire to secure byy Letters Patent, in the following clause: A
