' Specification forming To all whom it may concern:
Be it known thatl, LEMUEL RICHMOND, o in the State of` .V ermont, have invented a new and Improved Rein- Guide; and I hereby declare the following to be a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification.
The nature or essence of my invention consists in providing a loop or, opening of metal or other suitable material to bev secured to the harness for the driving-reins to-pass through, in order to prevent their becoming caught or entangled by the horse s tail or otherwise.

H rises the curved loop-bar D, forming the loop or opening I, through which the drivingreins are passed, and by which they are prevented from falling ofi horse when slack, and from being caught and dragged down by his tail. The arm B extends forward from the bar H, and is held down upon the strap E by a leather loop or otherwise, as may be preferred.
