There have been described several devices for heating tinned .sheet iron objects for the purpose of"reinoving either the' solder or the solder together: withthe' tin. The transportable cylinder or drum A made of perforated sheetiron or wire-gauze and provided with a lid B for filling and emptying,'rests with trunnions in bearings C and may be revolved around its shaft by means of a pinion or a suitable system of gearing D driven from [outside the furnace.
