As has'been indicated, the rear end 2 of the tubular member B may comprise a sheetmetal cap whose flange is adaptedto embrace the rear portion of the tube, and which may be secured in place by a prickpunch operation. Over the cap 2 and the y I is slipped a rubber handle, or knob, F. The flange of this member is provided with'lateral slots 17. The manner of use may be stated briefly. The barrel may the frame to permit the insertion of a cartridge and when theparts are againjoined together the flange of the cartridge is clamped firmly between the breech-piece and the rear end of the barrel.
