To carry out my invention. in its principal constrm'tire forni. l fashion a metallic reilector, either prisinalic, or plain. with a scrmv-lhreaded upper portion in one piece with the reflector proper, and to v this .screwtln'eaded portion I attach the insulation separating the reflector. or sluulwlxolder, from the lamp screw.

Fig. i' shows a modification of the device adapted to serrel as a shade holder-foil,` rellei-tors. or shades of any desired construc-l tion. The parts are formed practically the same, and serve the same purpose. The only dill'erence is that the insulated screw thread i2, instead of being extended into the reflector l, is cut ot at 17, and a screw I8 holds in place the ornamental shade 19.

lt is evident from the construction that the lamp can la! screwed into, or out of, the lamp screw (l without an)Y danger of receiving a shork to the person. or the metallic parts forming a short circuit.
