The stand comprises a base consisting of. a lengthwise member 1 havin at or near its end .crosswise members` 2, an of upwardly extending standards 3. AtV or nearthe cen. ter 'of thecrosswis'e ran 'n members 2 are socket pieces 4 fitted wit t 5, arranged horizontally, 6, ar-

'The lengthwise member 1 is ed soas to be detachabl connected advanta-V Mly made of tubular metal.1 The lengthwise member v1 and the crosswise member 2 are therefore detachable, which? is an admtage in storingand ship ing Vthe stands.` @ne standards 3 are tub ar and they are threaded at their lower ends so as to be ap- ,plied the tapped sockets 6 or 7, according as `the standar s are to be `arranged vertiea'lly, as in Fig. 1, or at aninclination to the, vertical, as 1n Fig. 2. The standards 3 consist of the tubular4 parts that have been parts 8 described'and also of the detachable and 9. The detachable pul'it 8 constitutes changed, substantially as described.
