Be it known that I, Davu) Bnxiknur, of 96` Dumbarton road, Partick, .(lasgow, Scotland, have invented a ce1-tain new and useful Improved Planchette (laine Apparatus, of which thel 'following is a specilication.

This invention relates to games ot the planchett-e class and itsy object. is to provide an improved apparatus of this class.

In order that my invention may be properly understood and readily carried into eifect, I have hereunto appended one sheet of drawings, of which Figure l` is 'a plan of the apparatus einbodylng my invention. Fig. 2is a transverse section on line a, b.. Fig. 3 is a plan view of the crank or arm detached.

The invention consists of a board or disk roper ,preferably formed ot' wood with its ibwer surface smooth and plain in order that it may lie fiat upon a table or like support. ,The'upper surface is formed of two raised portions an inner approximating to a disk A with an annular beadA1 having notches A2, and an outer provided with av ycontiguous to the annular bead A1 is inscribed a scale ot' numbers Dl regularly or irregularly divided from 0 up to and inolusive of 1,000,000. The inner portion or disk A has a central hole li, provided with a tubular liner or socket (ir. A crank or radial arm ,ll is carried by the stem or spindle H1 in this central hole F. The crank or arm l'l' is mounted at or near the center of its length, at which point the crank or arm is bent up so as to form a pivot or vertical support I, and a link J connects the arm proper to a rod extension K which terminates with a pointer L. Rotatably carried upon the pivot or vertical support I is a disk M.

lf desired balls or rollers may be provided on the underside of the disk or su port or the player or )layers hand or hands so as to reduce the eii'ort required to move the same around the circle, and,if desired, the disk or support for the hand or hands, instead of being attached to a crank may be supported on Wheels, balls, or rollers or projections travelin in a groove or grooves or on rails provi ed in or on the fioorof the apparatus.

The crank or arm in some cases may be made for cheapnessA of one rigid piece of metal.

The apparatus may be constructed of a more or less plain disks of wood without moldings or headings.
