TOILET-SEAT PAPER AND HOLDER THEREFOR.

This invention relates to means for cover:
ing a toilet seat, so as to prevent contact of the person with the seat thereby eliminating the liability of infectlon.
The protective device consists of a paper or other fabric sheet, provided with an opening. corresponding to the opening of the seat, and the invention relates, in part to the sheet itself, and in part to means for hold-j ing the sheets in convenient position for use. p In the accompanying drawings,illustrating the invention: Figure '1 is a perspective of the toilet seat with the protective meansapplied thereto. Fig. 2' is a plan of the paper. Fig. 3 is a vertical section of the protective means and the holder, and the seat. Fig. 4 is a perspective of the support for the paper.
The ard comprises a sheet 1, of paper or other abric, havin an opening 2 conform-' ing more or less to t e opening 3 of the toilet seat 4. Around theedge of the opening the sheet is slit as at 5 to permit it to be bent down around the opening, and at the front end of the opening the sheet has a tongue or projection 6 extendin into the opening 2 to act as a protector. or the private organs of the person using the seat. Sheet 1 may be medicated, if desired.
The sheets 1 are preferably assembled in a pack, as shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the pack hem supported on pins or prongs 7, extending rom a back member or support 8, these prongs being formed, for example, by slotting a metal plate and bending forward the cut portions, as shown in Fig. 4. The pack of sheets may be contained in a box 'or casing 9 which, 1s fperforated at the back to perm1t passage 0 the prongs 7 and has a slot or notch 10 at the top throu h which exi normally han g from the prongs 7 which are clenched t ereon by bendmg as shown at 13. To guide the paper sheets 1 while they are being turned down on the seat, and to retain them in proper position after they are so turned 'down guide arms or wires 14 are provided extending from the back of case 9, forwardly and downwardly in a curve, the sheet slipping or sliding along the wires as it is being turned down on to the seat until the downward movement of the sheet is arrested by means of flanges or stops15 on the wires 14. The stops 15 are so arranged that the sheet is held 1n the proper position on the seat, the stops being in the same plane as the top of the seat. The pron 7 being of flat metal, presented vertica y edgewise, serve also as means for severing the paper as it is pulled down.
What we claim is a 1. A toilet seat pa er holder comprising an open front case fixedly supported in a vertical position, paper sheets therein forming a pack, said sheets having perforations therein, arms in the lower art of said case extending through the per orations in saidsheets and outwardly and downwardly therefrom for 'ding said sheets into a horizontal position in front of said pack, and means on said arms for arresting said sheets in a horizontal position on the toilet seat.
