I wish h'ereto emphasize the fachthat this supplementary hand in all of its forms,

either as a flap or sleeve. may he wnne ted with the tie proper in any manner, either by attachment thereto or as continuous and integral therewith. it need by no means involve extra or additional material, hut may he formed from one or more of the inner folds of any folding tie such as a intlsor or l e Joint'ille so called, or men of lu'niltl rihhous and may further he utilized for the carl'ying of a label.

I am aware that other modifications of the invention might he resorted to without departing from the pirit and scope thereof.
