APPLICATION FILED 1320.20.1909.

r ,p x i i i v ANNIE MILLER, OF MATADOR, TEXAS.
WINDOVI OR DOOR SCREEN.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ANNIE MILLER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Matador, in the county of Motley and State of Texas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Window or Door Screens, of which the following is a specification.
My invention is a screen applicable alike to windows and doors, and my object is to provide a light and durable screen which will be easy to afliX in a desired position and which will be made to occupy a minimum of space when not in use.
In the accompanying drawing illustrating my improved screen, Figure 1 is an elevation thereof, and, Fig. 2 is a central vertical sectional view therethrough.
In the practical embodiment of my idea, I provide a screen comprising a frame 10, formed of wire of sufficient weight and strength to retain its shape when handled with reasonable care, while elastic to a degree suliicient to permit of its being rolled up when removed from a window, or when being transported, whereby it may occupy a minimum of space. This frame may, of course, be of any suitable shape or size, to suit the requirements, and over it is stretched the screening material 11, which may be of any suitable character, the edges of the screening being suitably bent about, and se- Specification of Letters Patent.
Application filed December 20, 1909.

cured to, the frame, wire 10. Along the frame wire 10 are suitably secured, to 6X tend outwardly therefrom, fastening tabs in the form of wire loops 12, these being placed sufliciently close together to insure the frame of lying flat against the Window casing or door frame, as the case may be when the same is secured in position by headed tacks or the like through loop 12. From this it will be seen that a screen as thus constructed may be cheaply transported, quickly and easily attached in position without necessitating any amount of skill, quickly and easily removed without destroying any portion thereof, and rolled and bundled up when removed so that it requires a minimum of storage space.
I claim:
A screen comprising a rectangular frame formed of flexible wire, screening material having its edges bent about and secured to said frame on all sides, and fastening eyes formed of wire and rigidly secured to and outstanding from said frame at spaced intervals along all sides thereof.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature inpresence of two Witnesses.
ANNIE MILLER.
