To all whom 'it may concern:
Be it known that I, EvnAn C. LIPPS, of Warren, in the county of Trumbull and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful improvements in Oscillating Fans; :ind I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as' will'enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The primary object of this invention is to .provide improved means for oscillating an electric fan motor regardless of Whether the latter be supported on a desk or secured toa wall or partition aswell as in the various positions in which the motor may be placed.

The combination with a supporting base, of a motor mounted thereon, and means for oscillatin the motoren said base, such means comprising a lever fulcrumed on the motor at one side of the base and on the same vertical plane as the armature shaft of the motor, the long arm of said lever being extended beneath said base and having a slot therein, a stop extending from the base in the same vertical plane as said armature shaft and with which the slotted portion of the lever has a sliding engagement, and means operated by the armature shaft for actuating the said lever.
