The combination with a water tube boilerand its tting, ofa tubular nozzle disposed within t e boiler furnace adjacent the tubes to be cleaned; there being jet openings formed in said tubular nozzle, a series of fire-proof blocks disposed beneath said nozzle, e. iiuid pressure supply pipe, a connection between .said nozzle and said fluid pressure supply pipe whereby the former is movable with res ect to the fluid pressure uct or passage formed through said connection for the uid .pressure entering said nozzlethrough the ivoted connection between said nozzle an said suppl pipe, whereby said nozzle may be rocke without interrupting the passage of the Huid pressure through said connection,

A' device of the class described, comprising a tubular nozzle rovided with a series oi jet openings, sai nozzle adapted to be disposed 1n a boiler furnace adjacent the surfaces to be cleaned, a heat protecting shield for said nozzle, a supply pipe for supplying gaseous fluid under pressure to said nozzle, a pivoted connection between said nozzle and said fluid pressure supply p ipe whereby the former is movable with respect to the fluid pressure supply pipe, a duct or passage formed through sald ,conneetionfor nozzle may be rocked without interrupting the passage of the fluid pressure throu h said connection, and an operating handle or rockin said nozzle.
