This invention relates to hens nests, and has for one of its objects to improve the construction and increase the etlicieiicy and utility of devices oi this character.

As above stated the apertures 30 are larger than the apertures 24, so that the nests 32 may be readily removed through the upper openings, when required for cleansing' or for the renewal of the bedding. Each of the upper apertures 30 is provided with a movable closure 36, preferably hinged at 37 to the plates 27 and also preferably formed of open Wire Work as shown, to provide the necessaryT ventilation.
