To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that l, EMMETT M. INSER- SOLL, a citizen of the United States, of lloodstoclt, in the county of ltclclienry and State of lllinois, have invented certain new and useful improvements in. Paperria res for Typel l riting Machines; and it do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this speciticw tion. This invention relates to improvements in the paper carriages for typewriting machines, and refers more specifically to novel features of construction in such carriages designed to receive and hold on the platen cards or relatively heavy sheets in a manner to prevent the same from shifting on the platen and toprevent them from springing awayfrom the platen by their own rcsiliency, and constructed also to hold such sheets or cards to receive printing impressions close to both the top and bottom inargins thereof.
