lBe it known that I, JOHN DEWE, of the' `city of Toronto, in the county of- York, Province of Ontario,

-My invention,` consists of a plate, having a tube exY tending through it, at'or near its centre, perpendicul `lar to its plane, and having arranged within it one or l more catches, which serve, in conjunction with arivet of lead, or other similar material, to form a sealllock -for mail and other bags To enable others skilled in the art to make and use as hereinafter fully explained.

The rivets I I are made in any quantity required, and are differently stamped and marked, so that they cannot be easily duplicated.
