lt'is` the object ot the presentI invention to provide an iniprored construction of funnel and more .--pccilically to provide a' funnel having a vent so arranged and constructed as to obviaie interference of the liquid, pass- I ing through the i'unnel` with thi. air escaping troni the being poured: Ordinarily such tunnels are constructed with their vent tubes or siniilai devices terminating at the lowci' end of their necks, but such a construction is undesirable inasmuch i and as a inattcr ot t'act'l does iutcr'lere with the passage ot' the liquidV through the neck and into the vessel poured.
