of rain water to the same will thus be effectually prevented so that the corn or other grain contained therein will always be kept in dry condition and be prevented from rotting. A suitable opening l2 is provided near the top of, the crib so that the corn may be rapidly unloaded from the transporting vehicle and stored therein. IThis opening may be securely closed by means ol the hinged door l2 when the same is not being` used. An entrance door 1S is also provided which leads to the interior of the crib so that access may be easily had thereto to distribute the corn evenly upon the floor of the same. Side plates l-l extend inwardly from iither side of this door and have suitable grooves or guidc'ivays l5 formed in their inner edges, in which is mounted a sliding plate 1G. This plate 16 is of such a size that when orcedviq'iv'ard to the extent of its sliding movement, entrance may be easily had to the interior of the crib beneath the same. When it is desired to remove corn l'roin the crib, this plate will also act to tard the :flow of the gain to the door 13, should 'the crib be entirely7 filled with the saine.

From the foregoing it will be seen that I have provided a corn crib wherein .the use of wood or 'timber is entirely eliminated, thus obviatinp,` the danger ot the destruction ot the saine il'roin lire. The contents 'ol'v the bin are also entirely protected lroin the depredations o mice or "ats, while at the saine time air will be freely admitted thereto, thus keeping the grain housed therein ,in a marketable state.

My improved crib is moreover simple and inexpensive in its construction, the grain may be easily placed within the saine, and as quickly .exhausted therefrom, and when once erected' will prove to be ot' great durability, as-the heavy concrete. base thereof will allow it. to withstand the heaviest windstorm, whereby the danger ofthe crib being blown down is avoided.

A structure of the character described, comprising a plastic base, a foraminated metallic wall secured in said base, a'sectional licor disposed upon said base, and spaced therefrom, certain of said sections being hingedly mounted upon pintles secured to said base, a roof having its `outer edge disposed upon said wall, an air tube extending centrally therethrough provided with perforations in the lower end thereof, a flange carried upon the lower end ot' said tube and adapted to support the inner ends ol said floor sections, a cleaning opening being;r formed in gthe lower end of said tube and air ports in its upper end, and means secured u'poh the upper end ot' said tube for guiding the air currents therefrom.
