To all whom 'Ll may concern:
lie it known that I, Gnome l nnn' znn, lessor and royal governmentbuilding-master, a subject of the King of Prussia, 1resi ling; at Hans Neldheim -zin'il iothagerweg, Aixlo-Choppelle, in the Kingdom of Prussia, Empire of Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in l'lzintl Steering-\Vheels for Motor-Vehicles; and I do hereby declare the following to be full, clear, nncl exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it uppertnins to make and use the some .llily present invention relates to huntisteering-wheels for inotorw'chicles and er ticularlyto that class thereof, in which the wheel-rim is utilized for operating signaling-devices. To this encl the wheel-rim is made to consist of two rigid preseurerings arranged upon opposite sides of an elastic tnbulzir 1l1l1-l)0(ly suitably connected with an acoustic signaling device, of which rings one is connected with the arms of the steeringwhcel, whereas the other ring, or winged upon the opposite side of seitl tubular hotly, is inevebly arranged.
This invention others the advantages that on the one hand a more powerful and. lasting signal can be given then hitherto it nus been possible to obtain, because the whole volume ot uir contained in said elastic tubular hotly can be elected and utilized for the operation of the signziling-(liwice, and that on the other hand the shocks and vibrations initiated by the vehicle-axle are tlcaclenetl and almostwholly eliminated, because the ring not con ncctetl with the til'nlS of the'steering-wheel can move vertically as well as lihrizontully independent of the ring rigidly cohnectell therewith. The. most prominent practical result gained by this arrangement of ports is, however, that the huntiand linger-loints are to it very high degree protected oi the steeringtnlte long drives over rough rozuls and not fatigue hantland fingei joints.
