Be it known tha I, GLEN llussau. Boo'ru, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Ghana, in the county of Ogle and State proved Lifting-Jack, of which the following is a iull. elem. and exact t-lesm-iption.
My invention relate to lifting jacks, and
has for its object to provide one with all it. is coiiipaet, strong while of light construction, easy to operate and the parts of which, when at rest, will rattle very little, if at all.
Another objeet to provide a lit'tin' jack which may be operated h a lever to lower the load slowly its well a: to lift it, the direction of movement of the load being eontrolled by a reverse lever.
Another objet-t. is. to provide a lifting jack, which when lowering a load, and the intant the load removed from the jaa-lz, the lift-bar will automatically #lide downward, within the standards, in normal po-ition thus saving time that would otherwi-e he spent in working the liit-har down to its normal position hy the lever.
Still another ohjeet to provide means which will antoniatieallv disengage the. lever frontthe lifting bar, at the ttltnf; time the lever is lifted high enough to engage the tail piece of the pawl allowing the liftin; hair to fall suddenly. i
