The movement or reciprocation of the controlling member is elected automatically by any suitable source of power. In order to get the greatest` ossible advantage from the heat of the nel, I provide a set of water coils F above the grate bars, these coils extendin over the top and 'down a distance at each side and being connected at one end with a -pipe 45leading to the upper part of the boiler and on the other end with a pipe 46 leading to the lower part of the boiler. It will be observed that the automatic regulation of the feeding means may be adlusted to cause the device to feed whenever the pressure falls below n given amount b varying the weights 42. lt will be observe that as the fuel hopper is located above the fire it will be heated thereby and then the eiciency of the fuel will be increased by the prior heating as is well known. What I claim as my invention 1s:-
1.
