IMPROVEMENT IN A WASHING-MACHINES.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the 62m9- To all whom it lmay concern Beit known that I, ORRIN L. HART, of Millville,
It consists iu, a novel arrangement of devices, by
means 'of which soiled clothing may be easily and expedtiously cleansed.
The letter A, of the drawings, represents the washing-tub, and
rlhe letters B, two'pendulurn-beaters,'arranged and operating upon a cross-bar that passes through the, head of the vertical standards C, as shown.
The cover of my wash-tub is constructed in two sections, with suitable slots therein, to provide for ther movements of the beater-bars.
The letters a represent wedges, above the cover, and
Letters c, two pivoted bars, arranged to t upon the top of said wedges, and hold the same securely, and also to provide for the removal of the wedges andcover at will.
The letters E represent arms, extending from the beater-bars, respectively, towhich they are pivoted to the crank-shaft vGr,.next mentioned.
