To all whom it may concern: 7 I
Be it known that we, WILLIAM D. Snow, ALBERT B. Lunoxn, and DAVID L. SNOW, citizens of the United States, and residents of the city of Philadelphia, county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have stery, and otherwise, as a cheap substitutefor leather.
In practice we have produced a verysatisfactory product by intimately mixing together the specified ingredients in the proportions of one pound of oxidized linseed oil, two pounds of ground leather, two
. ounces of litharg'e, and such coloring matter as may be desired, which, upon rolling into sheets, both upon and without a woven back; I 7
ing fabric, gave a smooth, durable and inexpensive oloth suitable for the uses specified.

Having described our invention, We claim 1. The combination of reduced leather and oxidized linseed oil substantially as specified.
2. The combination of reduced leather, oxidized linseed oil and a drier, substantially as specified. 1
3. The combination of ground leather and oxidized linseed oil substantially of the proportions by weight of one art of oxidized oil to two parts of ground eather, substantially as specified.
4. The combination of intimately mixed ground leather and oxidized linseed oil With a woven backing fabric, substantially as 5. The combination of oxidized linseed oil, ground leather, litharge and coloring matter in approximately the proportions of one pound of oil, two pounds of leather and two ounces of litharge.
