With this and other objects in view, the invention consists of certain novel features of construction, combination and arrangementof parts as will be described andpar- 'ticularly pointed out in the appended claims.

Referring ,morejparticularly to the drawings, 1 denotes the mold, which maybe of various forms or shapes, for casting various articles, the same being shown in the present instance -as constructed for casting sash weights. 12, theopp'osite end of which is connected to'vv the main overflow pipe. By means of the main and branch su('pply pipes and the overilow pipes connecte to the, upper end of the mold section, acurre'nt of water is caused to circulate' through the mold sections and thus keep the same cool.

Ilaving thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure byLctters-Patent, is:

A mold of the character described comrising hollow sections adapted to-be moved into and out of engagement with each other, a mainwater supply ipe, a main overow pipe, and branch supp y and overflow pipes to connect said sections of the mold with said main su ply and overlow pipes, substantially as escribed.

A-mold comprisin a plurality of hollow sections', means to hol one of said sections stationary, a water su ply pipe, an inlet pipe connecting saidv su p y ipe 'with said staionary section of tiie mo d, a lejiible supply pipe adapted to connect said movable section with said main supply pipe, a mainoverlow pipe, a branch overflow ipe adapted to connectthe upper end of sai stationary section of the mold with said main overllow pipe, a eXible overflow i e ada ted to connect the othersection o t e mo d with said ymain overlow pipe, and means whereby the movable section of 'the mold is moved into and out of engagement with the stationary section, substantially as described.

A mold of the character described comrising a pair of hollow sections, one of' which is held stationary, water su ply and discharge pipes connected to sai sections, supporting arms iXedly mounted on one of said sections and slidably en awed with the opposite section, a bell-cran clever in the carter end of said arm, and a link to connect said lever with said movable section whereby the latter is moved into and out of engagement with the stationary section to close and open 'the mold, substantially as described.
