l. Oui invention relates to-a new automatic fluid controlled variable time exposure valve mechanism for photoprinting machines; and
. the objects of our invention are: First, to
provide a variable'time operating valve for automatically regulatingand governing he intermittent operatin movement o the printing meclianism'o photographing ina chilies, that require a regular intermittent period of time in which 'to make an' exposure and to performan operative printing move-` .Second, to providev a :valve that moves automatically through its operative movement with a steady, even movemcn-td that canbe varied to any predeterinizze quick-or slow movementdesired. A pin 27 extends upward from the base plate, to limit the downward movement of the piston, and a pin 27^ extending upward from the top of the piston, contacts with the head 2S, to'liinit the upward movement of the piston. The cylinder head28 is )rovided with an axial aperture through which the is-v ton rod passes, and also wit-lli a packing ox 29, a packing gland 30, and a packin" material.
