siding at Detroit, in the. county of lWayne 1 and State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Devicesfor Dividing Powder and for Filling Wrappers with the Same, of which thefollowing isja speciiication, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.
It is the object 'of the invention to obtain a device by .which a quantity of' powdered material may be quickly and accurately divided into any desired nuinber of equal parts.
To this end, the invention consists in the construction as hereinafter set forth.-

What I claim as my invention is,-
1. Ina powder divider, the combination with a trough, and a series of spaced partitions for dividing the material within said trough, of an adjustable end gate for said' trough comprising a block and a resilient facing for contacting with the sides of the trough, for the purpose described.
2. A powder divider, comprising a trough, a series of partitions for dividing said trough in to separate compartments, and means for holdingthe wrappers for the divided powders in folded position .with their edges spaced correspondingly to the spacing between said partitions.
3. A powder divider, comprising a trough, a series of partitions for dividing said trough' into separate compartments, and a powderwrapper vholder consisting of a member hav-- ing a series of parallel partitions between which the folded wrapper ma)` be placed, the spaeingof said partitions corresponding with the spacing of the partitions in `the trough.
4. A powder divider, comprising a trough, a series of partitions for dividing said trough into separate 4compartments, discharging chutes between adjacent mirs of partitions, and a powder-wrapper holder consisting of a base and a series of vertical-Intrallel'partitions between which the folded wrappers may be placed, said partitions being spaced correspondinglxv to the partitions in the trough.
5. A powder divider comprising a trough, a series of spaced partitions for dividing the material in -said trough, forming a series of discharge chutes adapted to concentrate the material in the center of the wrapper.
6. A powder divider comprising a holder for the powdered material,l a leveling device `comprising a notched'. blade conforming to the general cont-our of the bottom of the trough, andl a slide with which said blade is ad j u stably engaged.
