which the following is a specification.
Our invention consists in piovidiiig a safety-pin in which the cloth penetrating member is provided 'with an inwardly bent off-set, the olf-set portion forming outwardly inclined bearing surfaces.
The object of our invention is to provide a safety-pin which will when pinned into the supporting cloth or other textile fabric be d in the posit-ion in which it is pinned and will not caiitto oneside when strain is placed thereon, throwing tlie'pin into an angular position and the cloth or fabric into which it is pinned to one side of the pin causing that end of the in to bear the entire strain thereon causing the fabric to tear at that point and prevent the pin from lying flat and even against the cloth on which it is pinned.

In the upper portion of the cloth penetrating member is a downwardly or inwardly turned off-set B. This off-set has two bearing shoulders 1 and 2.. Having described our invention what we claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent 1s:-
- As an article of manufacture, a safety pin comprising two members, the penetrating member having a straightl central portion otf-set from' tne ends of said penetrating member, and the main portion of the other member parallel therewith whereby bearing shoulders are formed between the central portion and the ends of the )enetrating pin.
