In order to slightly soften the brick at the point of contact with the knife, I ruvide i1 horizontal pipe 2O which is supplied with stczun and is provided with a. series of opennnd thus cause the knife to make acican cut.
In order to vary the tension of the roller the rods 15 and 16 are screwed in or out; of the blocks 13 and 14. The roller 7 is made with openings. .The opening in one journal serves as a steam lnlet and the opening in the thesteani is passed through the roller and the ders tood by those skilled in the' art- Havin thus fully described my invention, what I c aim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
