SCRAPER FOR KITCIDEIN USE.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Application filed. August 23, 1907.
Patented Aug. 18, 1908.
Serial No. 389,858.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MAUDE M. KINDRED, a citizen of the United States, residing at Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee and State of IVisconsin, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Scrapers for Kitchen Use, of which the following is a specification.
This invention is a scraper for use in kitchens, and has for its object a simple and efficient implement of this kind provided also with a drying or wiping device.
In the accompanying drawing in which a perspective view of the invention is shown, 5 denotes a scraper blade which is a sheet metal plate having a front scra ing edge. At its rear end said plate is doub led or folded upon itself to contact, and then bent outwardly to form a blade 6 which carries a wiping and drying device comprising a strip 7 of rubber.
The rubber strip is secured to the front edge of the blade 6 being fastened between the same and a s ring strip 8 secured to the blade. The b ades 5 and 6 are spaced from each other a suitable distance in order that the scraper and the drier or Wiper may be used without interfering with each other. To the doubled portion of the blade 5.is
soldered or otherwise secured a handle 9. By doubling said blade as shown it is stiflened so that it will not bend when in use.
The implement herein described is es ecially designed for scraping pastry tab es. The scraper blade 5 is first used after which the strip 7 will be rubbed over the table to dry or wipe the same. The implement will be found handy and convenient for the purpose stated and when the rubber strip 7 be- In testimony whereof I affix my signature,
in presence of two Witnesses.
