This shaft is driven from a power shaft b through gearing b', b2, indicated in Fig. 1. There may be'two or more otthese wheels B if desired, situated side by side, depending upon the Width of the vat. The liquor in the vat may be circulated in either direction and the circulation may be reversed at intervals if desired.

.The above description refeis to one form of vat to which my invention is particularly adapted, but it will be undeistood that my improvement can be applied to other vets as well.
