Description
PATENTED JULY 28, 1908 HANS MIKOREY, 0F scnoNEBERo,
NEAR BERLIN, GERMANY, ASSIGNOR TO riiE FIRM or MINIMAX CONSOLIDATED LIMITED, OF LONDON, ENGLAND, AND NEURUPPIN, MARK,
GERMANY PAINT-SPRAYER.
IPatented July 28, 1908.
Application filed. October 21, 1907. Serial No. 898,478.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HANS MlKOREY, a civil engineer, and a subject of the German Emperor, and a resident of 13 Wartburgstrasse, inthe city of Schoneberg, near Berlin, Kingdom of Prussia, and German Em ire, have invented a certain new and use ul Paint- Sprayer, of which the following is a specification. v v
This invention has reference to a sprayer or distributer for paint and colors in which the receptacle for the paint or color and the nozzle are made in one piece and may be exchanged together as a unit. Paint sprayers of similar kind are already known. The novelty resides in the total arrangement of the sprayer for the purpose of being able to exchange the parts mentioned.
Upon' the drawing the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in Figure 1 in side view and in Fig. 2 in section, through the assembling device of the color rece Wade and nozzle with the frame and air supply.
The paint or color delivering nozzle a to which the paint or color receptacle b is connected, is provided with stud c engaging with a sleeve (1 and being retained in positlon b a conical pin ft, the said sleeve being preferably secured to the air conducting tube e. A in m sccured to .the stud c and engaging with a slot k of the sleeved insures theproper en-\ gagement and adjustment of the stud c in the sleeve d. After withdrawing the pin i of conical shape the paiiitreceptacle and the nozzle may be detached and may be interchanged against others for the purpose of op erating u )on another paint orcolor. Any ot er detail parts of the sprayer need not be detached or loosened for exchanging the receptacle and the delivering nozzle. Nor is it necessary to make any changes in the adjustment of the paint or color valve,
the va ve rod 9 of the when the painter color receptacle is removed or mounted in place, in view of the hand lever being formed as .an elbow lever f, so that the ad'ustable stops it which aremount-ed on i aint delivery controlling valve and serve or the adjustment of said valve, can clear this lever, when it is desired to exchange the paint or color receptacle and the nozzle.
What I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is 1. A paint sprayer composed of a receptacle for liquid colors, of a nozzle forming one piece with said'receptacle, of a stud, secured to said nozzle, of a socket secured to the frame and the air pipe nozzle, adapted to receive the stud, of a pin fitting transversely into a hole of the stud and socket, of a in m laterally pro'ecting from the stud and itting into a slot 0 the socket substantially as described.
2. A paint sprayer composed of a receptacle for liquid colors, of a nozzle forming one piece with said receptacle, of a stud, securedto said nozzle, of a socket secured to the frame and the air pipe nozzle, adapted'to re ceive the stud, of a pin fitting transversely into a hole of the stud and socket, of a in m laterally projecting from the stud and fitting into a slot of the socket, of means to regulate the color sup ly and of a bell-crank lever fulfcrumed on t e frame and having one arm adapted to engage said color regulating means substantially as described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name this 20th day of September 1907, in
the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
HANS MIKOREY.
Witnesses: I
WOLDEMAR HAUPT, Y I'IENRY 'HASPER.
