Description

'PATENTED JULY 21 G. A. UNTERBERG.
'CONTAGT BREAKER.
APPLICATION FILED APR.16.1907.

UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
CONTACT-BREAKER.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented July 2 1, 1908.
Application filed April 16, 1907. Serial No. 368,609.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GUSTAV AnoLF U TERBERG, a citizen of the German Empire, and resident of Karlsruhe-Miihlburg,'Baden, German Empire, have invented new and useful Improvements in Contact-Breakers, of which the following is a description.
The present invention relatesv to contact breakers for electrical igniting devices and the object is to construct the contact breaker so that it may easily be taken out of themachine and replaced, in case of defect, or for examination or for any other reason, without having to disconnect the operating lever system, or any other parts of themachine.
In order to render the present specification easily intelligible reference ishad to the accompanying drawing in which similarletters of reference denote'similar parts throughout the several views Figure 1 is a longitudinal section through the device, Fig. 2 a crosssection on line A.A of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 a plan view partly in section and Fig. 4 is an interior view of the cap and the mechanism mounted therein.
The contact breaker, consisting of the fixed member a and the double arm lever b b is mounted in the cap c,which latter fits into the ring d with its annular flange c, and may be fixed therein by means of" a screw e. Thus the contact breaker will be turned together with the ring (1 by means of the known lever system, which operates the arm (1'. The contact is operated by'means of-the cam ring it, which is attached to the armature shaft g by means of the disk f, the'said cam ring operating the pin 6 ofthe lever arm 1).
Thus it'will be seen that it is possible to re move the contact breaker from the machine by simply releasing the screw e and taking oil the cap 0. I
In addition to the other advantages, the device has the further advantage that by loosening the screw 6 the contact breaker can be easily adjusted as regards the cam ring it,
thus rendering possible a most accurate ad- 'GUSTAV ADOLF UNTERBERG.
