My invention is most ailapln'ble for calculations of 'addition or subtraction. The device consists primarily of a plurality 'of indicator mechanisms or totalizers so arranged and connected with the typewriter attachments as to perform the desired celculations. A plum ity of rimary totalizers are erranged ina. horizonte row or series and` are mounted on a. traveling frameeonneeted vings of several sets wheels -around the number wheels in opposite direcwith thetraveling carriage ofthe typewriter.l
l As the keys of the typewriter are struck, this row of totalizers is moved-with the escapement of the cnrriitgeand the gear wheels of the totalizers have temp'omrT engagement with n stationary driving whee driving mechanism-With-the various numberkcys of the typewriting machine. -Upon actuzition of a number key, the driving wheel will be rotated a corresponding distance to move the enga ed totalizer .'vh'eel to indicate the number oli the keyectuatcd and this number is simultaneously printed on the sheet in the machine.
