Be it known that I, HARRY C. BUnoUP,"a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Car-Trucks; and I do hereby declare the followingto lbe a full, clear, and exact descri tion of the invention, liers skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention relates to the construction of'trucks for railway cars and has .for its principal objects to strengthen, cheapen. and simplify the construction of the truck side frames, andto render possible the ready connection of the bolster and side frames inJ a sim le manner.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
1. In a car truck, the combination with a bolster, o'f sidefframes having column-guides which are ca, able of movement toward and from each ot er, and meansfor supporting said column-guides against lateral separation.
2. In a car truck, the combination with a bolster, of side-frames having columns, and column-guides mountedA on said columns, said column-guides being ad'ustablev inthe direction of length of the sai side-frames. l
