In the attached to-the shear member by passing the rods E underneath the vertical rods'b of the shear member and overthe rods d ofthe netting, asshown in Figs. 4 and 5 ofthe drawing, these rods E securely fastening the netting to the unit bar, or rather, to the shear members thereof, it being understood that' the proper form of framework is constructed and the concrete F is placed therein to make such a construction, as shown in Fig. 4, when the form is remove'deoutside of the shear member.
In Fig. 3 I have shown a slight modification of the side member A. This construction which I have marked A consists of an eye beam, the upper .flange of which is cut away at theends from the webafand bent up to form the upper inclined portion a of said member. r
In the construction shown in Figs. 1 to 5 and Fig. 7 of. the drawings, I have placed the inclined portion a or a of the side members Itis to be understood that I am not confined to this arrangement, and in Fig. 6 I have shown a construction in which the inclined portions (1 of said member are so arranged that they lie inside the' vertical rods or bars I), forming the shear member. Instead of-bending the free ends of the stirrups around the lower bars of the side members, I mayconnect the stirrups to. theside members by securing the free ends of thestirrups directly to the web of said side members, as shown by Fig. 7 of the drawing. In a reinforcement for concrete construction, a plurality of spaced reinforcing girders, each comprising longitudinal rods or bars or tension members and a network composed of a connected series ofrods or arms )ent into arch form between the tension members and suitably secured thereto, said network having its elements fixedly united with each other at their places of intersection, and a second nettlng extending from one romforcmg girder to another and fixedly con nected thereto and having-its elements fix-- .edly united to each other at the places of intersection.

A reinforcement tor concrete construction consisting of a plurality of spaced remforcing girders, each vaving a series of arched rods or arms, and tension members to which the same are secured, longitudinally extending rods or arms connecting the arch rods, a netting extending from one to another between the arched rods, resting "on the longitudinal rods, and additional rods or arms at the junctions of the arched rods and netting,
