From the endsof this frame, handles are extended, for the purpose of guiding or operating the same.
To the sides of the frame are attached adjustable standards, which may be raised or lowered, placed back or forward of the stone, and secured in place by thumbscrews.
Ou the top of the standard is a revolving head, from which an arm -extends on either side.
Upon these arms rollers may be adj usted according to the size or thickness of the article being polished or ground, the article being held upon the stone by means of this arm, between which and the stone the article being ground is moved either rapidly or slowly, in proportion as the rollers are set obliquely to the stone.
In lthe accompanying drawingjsimilar letters of reference indicate corresponding letters in the specification.
A A `represent a grindstone. i
B, the bench or table on which the stone is hung.
c c represent a frame over the stone, in which to operate my invention.
To enable others skilled in the art tb make and use my invention, I'will proceed to describe its construction.
