To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that l., HARRY A. BAUER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lansdowne, in the county or' Delaware, State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Electric-Light Fixture, of which the following is a specification.
My invention consists of an improved electric light Alixture having a bracket adapted to be secured to a wall or other stationary point, and having a removable electric light holder provided with a suitable base which can be removed from said bracket and placed at a convenient point adjacent the user.

Secured to or forming part of said arm is a cross piece S, the outer ends of which are provided with the upturned extensions 9 and 10, it being seen that the wire or conductor is adapted to pass through a suitable opening 11 in the plate 2, strap 3 and arm 5.

Any suitable socket is attached to the light holder and adapted to receive standard bulbs. rlhe handle 16 may be also secured to the base 13 for ease ol' handling the light holder. The latter is adapted to be seated upon the arm 5 and cross piece 8, the upturned extensions on which are adapted to closely engage the inclined face 14 on the base 13 in order to hold the parts in'position on the bracket.
i The operation will be readily understood 1 from the drawing, the holder being adapted, as above stated, to be seated in the lugs on the bracket and held there in position, and when it is desired to have the lamp or light closer, the same can bc removed lrom said ibracket by exerting a slight upward force upon-the holder, which will then be released i and can bc placed upon the table, desk or place where the user desires to have the light. rlhe advantage derived lrom this will be readilyr appreciated, since the 'fixture serves the double purpose oi' a bracket and a desk or table light as explained.
It will be evident that various changes may be made by those skilled in the art, which will come within the scope of my int vention, and I do not therefore desire to be limited in every instance to the exact coni struction herein shown and described.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Let# ters Patent, is 1- 1. In an electric light -Ixture, a 'plate adapted to be suitably supported, a conductor leading therefrom, a stationary arm cxtending upwardly and outwardly from said plate, a cross bar carried by said arm, lugs on said arm and cross-bar and a light holder connected with said conductor and consisting of a base having an upwardly extending flange en gaged by said lugs.
2. In an electric light fixture, a plate adapted to be suitably supported, a conduc- '.[itting between said lugs and tor leading therefrom, a stationary arm extending upwardly and outwardly from said plate, a cross bar connected therewith, lugs on said arm and cross bar and a light holder connected 'with saidy conductor and consisting of a base adapted to rest on said bar and said arm, a llange extending upwardly therefrom i engaging said lugs and a bead on said lllange resting on said lugs.
